Recently I reached down to grab my sandals to put on and noticed the most recent National Geographic magazine on the floor.

The headline on it with a picture of the globe said, “The Race to Save the Planet.” I paused and thought, “OK, not a bad idea, but what about this for a title: “The Race to Save the People of the Planet.”

Really, what is more important? If God’s Word is correct and it is, at some point we will be getting a new heaven and a new earth. Perhaps our focus should be on the people on our planet and their salvation.

When it says in the Scriptures, “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son,” He was not thinking about climate control. He was concerned about each and every person living, joining His family.

Let’s read this most famous of Bible verses with a focus on people.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Let’s help our fellow men realize the truth of God’s love so their hearts may be connected with the Heavenly Father.

1Th 3:12: And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:

May His Love prevail.
