Hearing the Voice of God

Freedom from Debt

Witnessing 101

I Love You O Lord My Strength

Psalm 18 capsulizes David's victorious deliverance from his enemies and describes what God taught Him in the process. David realized in his distress that he was without strength but that God was his strength, his rock, his fortress, his deliverer. The Aramaic word picture for strength is to grab hold tightly, and God does! He holds us tightly with the immensity of His strength through every challenging situation. So we, too, can say, "I love you, O Lord, my strength!"

The Three Walks

Praying in the Spirit

Prior to the Day of Pentecost there was only one basic lever of prayer. Prayer with our understanding. With Pentecost we have a whole new lever of prayer in speaking in tongues. It is called praying in the spirit. Ephesians 6 declares we stand strong against the enemy while putting on the armor of God. Once fully clothed the great action we take is praying in the spirit, which is speaking in tongues.

The Whispers of God

I Kings 17-19 gives the account of how Elijah stood in the midst of very evil times when the worship of Baal was rampant in the land of Canaan. God provided all Elijah needed to survive during three years of extreme drought and dramatically confirmed His position as the one true God in a standoff with King Ahab and the prophets of Baal. Then in a time of deep discouragement for Elijah, God confirmed His presence in a "still small voice" and strengthened him.
