The world we live in today promotes a lot of negative things. As Christians it would be wise for us to be "on guard" and to learn to effectively resist these things so that we are not negatively influenced. What we DON'T want to do is to develop a cynical, sarcastic attitude regarding our circumstances and situations and possibly life in general.
This sharing encourages us to be aware of those influences and how to circumvent the kind of bad attitude that is so common in today's culture. Philippians 2 and Romans 12 both give us insight into what a Godly attitude and perspective look like and its availability to every believer who is willing to walk by faith.
We have been given so much and it is time to walk in the fullness of all that Jesus Christ has accomplished for us and in us.
