Ephesians 6:10-11a: Be strong in our Lord and in the immensity of his power and put on the whole armor of God...

This is the introduction to the seminar on May 26-17, 2018. We are to BE strengthened and not rely on our our own strength but in the LORD and his authoritative resurrection power. First we have to put off -- strip off, discard and lay aside -- the old man and then we can put on the new man. The old man is our former way of life, living by the five senses. The new man is "Christ in you" (Colossians 1:27). There are four phrases that are equal to each other: "the new man" (Ephesians 4:24, Colossians 3:10), "the armor of light" (Romans 13:12), "the armor of God (Ephesians 6:11) and "the Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 13:14). All the pieces of the armor line up with the fulness of the names: Lord, Jesus, and Christ. The key to understanding the armor of God is to know what we are to do vs. what we have by way of the gift of holy spirit.
