Pentecost is one the greatest, if not the greatest celebration of the Christian church. The twelve, in the temple, received the holy spirit on a great feast day in Jerusalem where many were gathered.
As we reflect on Pentecost today, we get the advantage of looking back with a broader view as to what happened that miraculous day, one that we now celebrate as the birthday of the church. We also are encouraged to speak in tongues much as it blesses God and edifies us.
