Your Spiritual Telescope

A telescope has three main purposes and functions:

#1 to make objects brighter and closer(focusing light)

#2 so that objects may be viewed with greater contrast(resolution)

#3 objects can be seen as large as possible(magnification)

 

In applying these same concepts to the telescope of our spiritual lives, this teaching examines five different verses.  In each of these five verses the words "one thing" are used and amazingly, we find that there is a singular lesson to be learned as exemplified in the lives of five completely different people from five completely different walks of life. 

Learning the lesson from these five verses will help anyone who seeking a greater perspective and a closer relationship with God.  Why?  Because we will be able to see more clearly and through our spiritual telescope, learn the lesson of keeping our eyes on the Lord.
