The Power of 1 Corinthians 2

God presents these powerful things:

1.  Demonstration of the spirit and power
2.  Our faith stands in the power of God
3.  The princes of this world come to naught
4.  God ordained the mystery before the world unto our glory
5.  The princes of this world would not have crucified the lord of glory if they had known the mystery
6.  God has revealed to us by his spirit deep things that didn't enter into the heart of man previously
7.  The natural man cannot know spiritual things

all in the context of:

1.  Not with excellency of speech
2.  Not with enticing words of man's wisdom
3.  Not the wisdom of this world
4.  We speak the wisdom of God
5.  Not in words taught of human wisdom, but taught of spirit

-Speaking God's Word using God's words releases His power in ways that are almost unimaginable.

-Signs follow the preaching or teaching of God's Word.

We should not add to or take away from God's Word because:
1.  God says at least three times in His Word not to.
2.  Even if the word added fits with the verse, it can destroy a figure of speech that marks the verse as important.
