David's touching example of kindness in 2 Samuel 9:1-13 reveals that he felt responsible to be merciful and kind because God had been exceedingly merciful and kind to him by forgiving much and giving much. He is a wonderful example of one who loved much because he recognized that God loved him and showed kindness to him.

The best basis for kindly service to man is experiencing God's mercy. Indeed, we can even go as far as to say that long before a person can be truly merciful, God has been merciful to him.

True agape love doesn’t think of itself first. Instead, it is always reaching out, thinking and focusing primarily on the needs of others. The person walking in agape love adapts to those around him in order to touch them, help them, and impact them in a meaningful way. What to do?  PAY IT FORWARD!!

Ephesians 2:7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

We are going to be experiencing His kindness for eternity, so why not start now?

For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you. (Isa. 54:10)

Only when we choose to believe that God is kind will we be able to show kindness to others. Frustration and fear will dissolve from our hearts and we can and will treat others as God has treated us.
