The Uniqueness of Speaking in Tongues

The tongue is very powerful.  We can speak words that build up or tear down.  We can heal with words or cause hurt.  Actually, our access to God is closely associated with our words.  It is how we communicate with Him.  As a result of receiving the new birth spirit and as we open our mouths and speak, we can bring forth words that praise God and magnify Him.  The manifestation of speaking in tongues involves stepping out in faith trusting God for words of utterance.  As we step out upon the promises of God we utilize our right of access and can approach God with confidence.
