All of us are on a journey as we walk with God through this earthly life. We will not reach the final destination until Jesus returns so until then, we carry on. In the process it is good occasionally to ask the question or at least think about the reality, are we still willing and open to learn? Learning can be an exciting adventure if we are open to new and fresh perspectives and not conditioned by our past or what we have always thought is right. So hang on, this is a quick reminder of the three R's: receive, retain, release.
James 1:19-21 KJV
19Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20for the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. 21Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
James 1:19-21 TPT
19My dearest brothers and sisters, take this to heart: Be quick to listen, but slow to speak. And be slow to become angry, 20for human anger is never a legitimate tool to promote God’s righteous purpose. 21So this is why we abandon everything morally impure and all forms of wicked conduct. Instead, with a sensitive spirit we absorb God’s Word, which has been implanted within our nature, for the Word of Life has power to continually deliver us.
