The Old Testament is the New Testament Concealed. The New Testament is the Old Testament Revealed.
The Book of Ruth takes place at the time of Judges & after all the violence in Judges, is a breath of fresh air about love & redemption. Ruth , a Moabite, a member of a nation that is an enemy of Israel, makes a monumental choice ( Ruth 1:16) to follow the true God & becomes part of the Christ line. Boaz, the Kinsman Redeemer, her husband, is a figure for Jesus, who fulfilled the law & was OUR savior who paid the price for our freedom. 1 Peter 1:18, 19.
