In I Corinthians 13 there are a number of qualities of the love of God. The ninth one listed, is that the love of God "thinketh no evil." The word "thinketh" in the Greek is an accounting term better translated, to reckon or to count. Literally, to credit someone's account. In this case, the bookkeeper is an offended person who keeps track of wrongs done to him or her and stores them in their memory. However this is not how love behaves. A prime example of the behavior of God towards us is in Psalm 103.  God has decided to remember to forget. He has forgiven all our iniquities and not dealt with us according to our past mistakes. Throw that diary away! Didn't God throw away His diary about YOUR past?

Forgiveness is extending and remembering what mercy has been extended to you!! Love forgives and refuses to keep track and keep it on the books. Literally, in I Corinthians 13, the words "thinketh no evil" could be translated as "love does not deliberately keep records of wrongs or past mistakes."
