How many times do we use the words God bless you?  We greet each other with those words.  When one sneezes, we say “God bless you”.  Our daughter Suzi would say “He has!” and that is my point! God has blessed each and everyone of us and tonight I would like to look at the history of God’s blessing for mankind.

What does it mean to bless?  To bless means is to express a highly favored and fortunate position by divine grace and power, someone who has been rewarded of God. We say God bless your heart when someone does something nice, kind or sacrificial.  To say God bless your heart is not merely saying Thank You, but also acknowledging their kind heart and includes God’s wishes to reward them for their kindness.

God always intended man to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, subdue it, and have dominion. From Adam to Abraham, Moses and Jesus the blessing was declared.

Ephesians 1:3 is our declaration:  "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has (past tense) blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,"

God blessed you!
