As believers, we are instructed to bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ which is the law of love.
There are two Greek words in the New Testament for bearing. One is to stand alongside in times of need to strengthen and comfort, to bear up as a farmer stakes a tomato plant to carry its weight. The second word is to bear, lift or carry away, remove. Jesus did both aspects of "bearing".

Isaiah 53:6,12
Our sins, iniquities, diseases we laid (bore) on him, placed on him and he carried our sins away, he disposed of them as the east is from the west, he has removed our transgressions from us.

What Christ has done for us we do for the Body of Christ, representing him with the spirit of Christ in us.
