There are two aspects to the word treasure: the place in which good and precious things are stored (the storehouse) and what is stored. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus exhorts us to lay up for ourselves treasures in heaven. "What a person treasures and values determines one's loyalties and priorities." (Holman Bible Dictionary, p. 1618). What do you spend time on? What do you value? Spiritual (heavenly) things or earthy things?
